a weekend in the slow lane.
Four slow days in a newly renovated Victorian house in Cornwall, just across from the beach. Think morning swims; long walks along the coast; afternoons at the kitchen table, hands busy with a new craft; evenings of homemade suppers and the kind of conversation that lingers — among people just as glad to be there as you are.
Our finest room. With large windows offering a stunning view of the bay and comfy armchairs, you'll easily lose an afternoon reading here.
A garden-facing room with a little more privacy, and plenty of space to spread out in.
The largest and the brightest, tucked up on the top floor — you'll wake to the sea from your bed.
an evening, a book, a glass of something.

For as long as I can remember, I've had multiple different passions and as a child, it was great — but now, as an adult, I've had to spread my interests so thin some of them barely exist.
Hi, my name's Charlotte and I founded The Nettle Collective. I'm a writer and a tutor and I desperately love organising and running events. I've been wanting to create a space for multi-passionate people for four years and now I'm doing it. My main reason, really, is to create genuine connection, to create DEPTH. It's so easy to be lonely in London, it's so easy for your creativity to dry out or wither away. I've attended book clubs and craft nights and I've mostly found them stiff and awkward and uninspired. I don't want that. I want to really wriggle into the brain and plant seeds, so that our spaces are just the beginning of your projects, a motivator and somewhere where you can dedicate your time and your energy to art and literature away from screens and social media. Most of all, I want people to leave feeling a little more themselves.
The retreats are the cornerstone of it all. I think to love London, you have to leave London sometimes. I want to take all the tender energy from the book club and the creative energy from the craft night and bring it to an affordable and worthwhile retreat where you take time for yourself in the company of like-minded and passionate people. As for the nettle chats, sexual wellbeing has and always will be a huge passion of mine and we just don't talk about it enough. We're very small right now and prepared to fail in many ways but I hope people do take a chance on us because I just know this is something special.
